Typist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Typist to join the Moorcroft Group. In return we offer a competitive salary of £17200 per annum plus 28 days holiday.

The Moorcroft Group are a leading UK consumer debt recovery specialist based in Stockport.

The Typist will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective clerical and administrative service.

Duties will include:

• Data input
• File preparation
• Information gathering
• Photocopying
• Copy typing from handwritten, printed or typed documents
• Audio typing (requires speedy typing as you listen to a dictated tape)
• Input, retrieve and present data using a computer
• Produce and present documents using a computer
• Ensure that all matters relating to the process of information are carried out in a prompt, efficient manner and in accordance with our policy and procedure

The successful Typist will:

• Be an experienced audio and copy typist
• Have experience of typing from documents and audio tape
• Have excellent typing skills (minimum 50 words per minute)
• Have excellent accuracy skills
• Be IT literate
• Be able to work co-operatively with team members and colleagues

The hours of work are based on a shift pattern which will include early and late shifts that will alternate each week.

• Early shift – Mon-Fri 07:00-13:00, Sat 08:30-16:00
• Late Shift – Mon-Thurs 13:00-21:00, Fri 13:00-19:00

Our offices are close to local public transport routes.

This role would suit an experienced Audio Typist, Copy Typist, Administrator or Secretary.
