Our Procurement team has more than 900 members across 50 countries where we actively manage £13bn of GSK’s spend per annum across both direct and indirect categories.   

Our Team  influences the company's entire third-party expenditure, partnering with business units and driving value from supplier relationships to support GSK's strategies and targets.

Job purpose

We now have an opportunity for a procurement professional to lead and manage risk and compliance activities associated with 3rd parties across Global Procurement.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage risk and compliance activities associated with 3rd party suppliers in Global Procurement;
•Lead and manage 3rd Party Risk Management programmes;
•Develop and implement a code of ethical Procurement;
•Develop and implement an audit programme to ensure compliance;
•Develop minimum risk criteria to qualify suppliers;
•Develop risk and ethical Procurement criteria which can be implemented and monitored in the GSK Supplier Performance Management programme;
•Report on the level of maturity of risk management programmes and identify remedial work required and implement;
•Influence, monitor and support in GMS and Biologicals Procurement ensuring alignment where required;
•Develop and deliver policies and working practices where required;
•Monitor and report risk and compliance measures, identifying gaps and action required;
•Execute requirements of compliance initiatives such as ABAC, CIA and Info Protect with third parties establishing governance models where required;
•Interface with other functions in GSK with a role to play in risk management and build effective relationships to ensure alignment on solutions;
•Support the development of a Third Party Oversight (TPO) framework for business owners to use when engaging with external suppliers;
•Be outward facing, understanding and anticipating external trends in compliance and good practice solutions for managing compliance and minimizing risk;

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

-Procurement experience to enable effective dialogue within functions;
-Experience of leading and implementing change projects in a global environment;
-Understanding of IT systems;
-Strong stakeholder management skills;
-Clear communication skills with an ability to simplify complex messages;
-Risk management experience;
