About the Job:
We've got a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Team Manager to join the Technical Team at our Spalding based meat processing site.

Reporting to the Site Technical Manager you will take full responsibility for the day to day running of a department on shift, ensuring the Health & Safety of all colleagues whilst maintaining and making improvements in all areas.


Here at Morrisons our Technical Team Managers do the following:
• Support the Technical Manager in maintaining and improving the factory Quality System
• Ensure all designated procedures and practices are in place and updated and that systems of work are safe within the factory
• Ensure that all materials procured and products manufactured and packed, are food safe and conform to both company and legal specifications
• Supervise, motivate and control all colleagues to accept accountability for the achievement of production and quality standards at the most effective cost
• Restrict the use of any raw material, packaging or finished product that falls outside of the defined 'norms' as specified within the site quality system
• Ensure the factory HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) system and associated CCP's/PR's are correct, maintained and updated as required
• Provide coaching and guidance to your team to ensure development of colleagues and achievement of site KPIs
• Assist with the monitoring of the performance of individual staff to ensure that they are working correctly and consistently, taking appropriate action to drive engagement and performance

What do I need to be a successful Technical Team Manager at Morrisons?
• 3-5 years experience in food manufacturing environment; preferably with meat raw material knowledge
• Auditing experience, commercial awareness and understanding of HACCP and quality systems
• Strong communicator with good interpersonal skills and determination to succeed
• People management skills with a structured approach to coaching and development
