Support Software Engineer ( Ruby on Rails )

Support Software Engineer ( Ruby on Rails ) is required to join one of the fastest growing IT service providers in the UK, they are at the leading edge of technical innovation in their space and are currently hiring the very best talent.

They have an immediate requirement for a Support Software Engineer ( Ruby on Rails ). You will be "hands on" and work as part of the Engineering Support function within the business. This role is very operational involving the day to day resolution of issues and you will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of secure applications and software services that enable the business to achieve its goals.

There are 3 Permanent positions at this level and these positions offer genuine opportunity for growth and progression based from their head office in Woking.

The ideal Support Software Engineer ( Ruby on Rails ) would be someone dual skilled in more than one language with Ruby on Rails being the first then Java, Python or JavaScript as the second language. However, the Client is also open to taking Candidates on board who are very strong in Ruby on Rails and would be open to the opportunity of learning additional languages.

Required Technical Skills:

- Strong Ruby on Rails Skills

- MySQL, SQL & No SQL Databases

- Software Engineering Support Experience

Additional skills for the role include;

- Java, Python, JavaScript experience

- OpenStack Experience

- Experience with Cloud Technology / Projects

- Any Operational experience in production infrastructure would be advantageous but is not essential
