Job overview:

We are looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join the Truck Sales and Marketing division, tomanage key relationships with a specific list of strategic customers in order to maximise Mercedes-Benz Truck and Canter Truck sales opportunities.  We have opportunities across the Northwest/Yorkshire and the Southwest/South Midlands.

To do this, you will work with the dealer network to establish, develop and build relationships with the customer base. You will work within agreed cost structures and to achieve set volume objectives. 

 

As the Strategic Account Manager, you will need to establish business relationships with National & International Account customers to identify their exact needs and requirements and then negotiate and present proposals to fully meet these needs. You will be responsible for ensuring that all tender documents meet with Daimler Ag framework and local requirements - both in terms of legal compliance, volume plan and discount parameters.

 

Overall, you will be the customer main point of contact for all customer relations, and you will actively manage these customer relations with inter-linked departments i.e. Customer Service, Mercedes-Benz financial Services (MBFS), and Wentworth Park (remarketing). It will also be your responsibility to ensure all Mercedes-Benz and Fuso products are operated in the correct manner and you will do this by arranging and monitoring driver training and where appropriate, set up workshop training.  This may involve you updating training to gain maximum vehicle in-life productivity and brand loyalty.

 

 

Job description:

 

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

 

  • A detailed knowledge of the corporate commercial vehicle market, including acquisition
    methods, service packages.

  • A strong desire to ethically win the business for MBUK, and ensure every feasible avenue has been explored to secure the business.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully interact at all levels including corporate boards with self-motivation, focus and strong territory management.

  • A comprehensive understanding of vehicle manufacturer franchised dealer networks.

  • You will need to have a comprehensive knowledge of the Commercial Vehicle and Road Haulage industry and be experienced with dealing at the highest levels.

  • Knowledge of all aspects of the Mercedes-Benz and Fuso range and the market place in which they operate.
