Chemical Manufacturing Company - Trainee role - Bromsgrove £18k - £20k + benefits

Opportunity to be trained and learn new skills in a chemical solutions manufacturing business, starting in the goods inward / despatch / warehousing facilities

The Role

The Goods Inward / Stock-keeping / Dispatch Assistant will be responsible for receiving goods in, placing items into stock and maintaining stock rotation for all parts. You will receive training in solutions manufacturing, mixing of chemicals to customer specification for delivery to site. Responsibilities include:

  • booking in goods received / placing items into stock / rotating stock accordingly
  • packing customers' orders / picking goods from stock / labelling solution bottles
  • liaising with couriers / maintaining professional customer relations
  • monitoring solutions / consumable stock and maintaining supplies
  • ensuring stores work area function in line with H&S requirements
  • loading raw materials / deionised ( DI ) water in mixing vessels
  • ensuring chemical inventories are available for solution manufacturing

The Person

The Dispatch Assistant will have some previous exposure to a stock control / stock-keeping / warehousing / logistics / dispatch role - ideally with an interest in the chemical, production, manufacturing or engineering industry. Experience of industry quality standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 together with an awareness of Health and Safety regulations would be useful.

GSCE or equivalent in Maths / English and/or a Chemistry qualifications is desired.

37.5 hour working week: Mon - Thurs 08.00 - 16.45, Friday 08.00 - 12.30.
