Role Overview
SecureWorks is actively looking for a Senior Principal Security Consultant to join our Security and Risk Consulting (SRC) team.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for security and a strong desire to take the next step in their career. Specifically, you will have a technical security background, demonstrable project leadership skills and extensive experience of delivering information security consultancy services in the areas of information security management, governance and compliance.
We are looking for market facing experienced security professionals, with substantial experience and the ability to deliver complex projects and develop and maintain client relationships at a senior level. Successful candidates will have a broad range of expertise across information security and be able to articulate, and deliver different propositions to our target markets.
The successful candidate will be required to own a portfolio of services to either maintain and expand, or work with the sales organisation to identify new focus areas.
Although SecureWorks is not looking for an individual with technical implementation skills, the successful candidate should have a technical security background with a range of technical knowledge and skills as well as relevant security-related qualifications. Alongside these, the individual will also possess strong customer facing skills, will be a self-starter and able to lead the delivery of projects.

SecureWorks is seeking to fill a Principal Security Consultant role within the Security & Risk Consulting team.
The successful candidate will have:
An in-depth understanding and practical experience of delivering information security consultancy across a range of sectors, addressing client needs in Security Strategy and Governance, Risk and Compliance areas such information security management, gap analysis, risk assessment, risk management, compliance standards, security policies/procedures and information security governance.
Experience of delivering against or using standards and frameworks such as: COBIT, ISO27001/27002, PCI DSS, Information Security Forum (ISF) Standard of Good Practice, HMG’s Security Policy Framework CESG Standards and Good Practice Guides, Codes of Connection and Data Protection/Privacy Impact Assessments.
The experience within their past career to bolster the above skills with a knowledge and broad experience of technical security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management systems, log monitoring and retention solutions and SIEM. Previous security architecture and design experience would be an advantage. Relevant information security-related qualifications.
Flexibility, regular travel to Europe, the Middle East and the US is required for this role.
As a managed security provider, SecureWorks expects its employees to understand and apply commonly known security practices and possess a working knowledge of applicable industry controls such as NIST 800-53. Employees will be expected to acknowledge their security responsibilities in writing prior to gaining access to company systems.
