About the Job:

Assertive Media is looking for a social media manager and content copywriter who can produce high quality content as well as actively run and manage social media profiles for our clients. We are looking for someone who can get hands on producing copy, adding it to client websites, creating interesting content for social media and more.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the day to day management of copy-writing, client liaising, client marketplace and product research, strategizing and planning, competitor content evaluation, social media content production and task delegation.

You will be required to manage juniors who will also assist with producing content, posting content and finding interesting things to blog/share on social media.

You should have some knowledge of website CMS platforms such as Wordpress for the purpose of being able to post content directly to client websites. Some basic SEO knowledge would be preferred as copy will need to be in-depth, authoritive and good for a clients SEO profile.

You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of setting up, managing and running social media profiles including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram etc.

Key skills:

1. Create social media strategies for clients and plans for execution
2. Have good, strong copy-writing skills with good grammar and good semantic understanding
3. Be able to produce client marketplace / industry related copy via in-depth research

4. Be able to integrate keywords and semantic keywords
5. Have knowledge of the Adwords Keywords Research Tool and other keyword research / mining tools.
6. Be able to research and understand a clients business / services / product offering
7. Be able to evaluate competitor copy and social media efforts
8. Setup & brand social media profiles
9. Actively post on social media profiles and use hashtags / tags / insights and research tools
7. Use social media insights to identify content opportunities
8. Identify keyword opportunities for new website pages
9. Manage all social media activity and liaise with clients to manage social media interactions
11. Be able to post content to CMS platforms such as Wordpress
12. You should have an understanding of content leveraging for link building/acquisition
13. Be able to identify and suggest viral content opportunities
14. Manage junior social media posters / copywriters in the team via task delegation
15. Be efficient, reliable and demonstrate dedication to the role
We are looking for someone to come in 5 days a week on a permanent basis.
You must be:

  • Cope well under pressure and maintain delivery
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Must be a good team player
  • Good word skills and communication skills

To be eligible for an interview / consideration you must have:

  • At least 3 years experience copy-writing
  • At least 3 years social media management experience
  • Have the ability to use Google Adwords Keywords Tool
  • Good client management and leadership skills

The role offers excellent pay and career progression. Salary is dependent on experience.
