About the Job:

OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The main purpose of the role is to increase engagement with the world's most senior business leaders via the various social media channels that they frequent. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who love all things social that are willing to work hard and learn quickly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Social Media Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Work with the Marketing and editorial teams to draft copy/manage scheduling of posts for daily content on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Analyze performance of all social media posts and optimise the strategy accordingly
  • Conduct research into what other publishers are doing on social media to create increased engagement with their audience
  • Find new channels to engage the Hot Topics community of senior business/tech leaders
  • Drive increased subscriptions to Hot Topics from within target demographics
  • Monitor KPIs from Google Analytics
  • Support with administrative duties relevant to the role as required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Education and Qualifications:
Essential

  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • BA/BS degree or higher

Experience and Knowledge:
Essential

  • Social media savvy, particularly with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrably interested in marketing, digital, & communications
  • Proficient with Google Drive (documents, spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Ability to use social media analytics tools
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organized and a great multi-tasker
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Desirable

  • SEO experience
  • Tech industry expertise
  • Community management background
  • Wordpress experience.
