About the Job:

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a very established Multi-Disciplined Civil Engineering company as a Site Agent. The role will include day to day management of site activity, health, safety and different gangs. The successful candidate will be the main site contact and ensure that the project teams carry out the works to a high quality standard in a safe manner and to agreed timescales whilst maintaining profitability and ensuring that all incidents/accidents and near misses are reported correctly.

The ideal candidate will have a Civils/Telecoms background and used to managing small works packages. This role could also possibly suit a Civils Supervisor who has a utilities background as the works will be very similar.

You will need to have NRASW to Supervisor level.

Skills:

  • Overall supervision of a number of civils site crews carrying out civils works on underground Telecommunication networks
  • Working off client job packs and ensuring works are completely safely to time and budget targets
  • Compliance with Company/Legislative Health , Safety and Environmental policies
  • Completing all works to the required Company, Client and local authorities standards
  • Compliance with road opening licenses
  • The ordering of all require materials
  • Correct Excavation and Reinstatement of the public highway for the laying of telecoms duct in line with the HAUC spec.
  • The teams daily work site progress
  • The timely updating of electronic/paper job packs
  • Compiling invoice packs and as-builds for all works / suppliers under your control
  • The Liaison with affected third parties

What Knowledge, Skills & Abilities do you require?

  • 2-3 years Supervisory experience within civils and general utilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively and command respect
  • Computer literate - Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential
  • Good understanding of the HAUC spec
  • Reliable timekeeping and attendance
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary
  • Flexible to travel as necessary
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner at all times

Salary: - up to £35k + Car
