The Service Manager Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward thinking Service Manager who can pro-actively manage teams of support and datacentre staff to ensure the operational delivery of services 24x7 located in Maidenhead and Gosport. You will work closely with key business stakeholders externally and within the group to promote service excellence and ensure 100% uptime of the company’s business critical technology infrastructure and systems in Maidenhead & Gosport.

A key aspect of this role is to bring guidance and leadership to your Teams in order to improve technical and operational expertise within both sites. This will include analysing all service management issues and recommending/implementing solutions to improve service delivery. You will also have accountability for service transition and service delivery in an Incident Management Environment as well as general customer communication via email, helpdesk and status pages. 

Service Delivery Manager Skills/Experience

Essential

+ Several years’ experience of managing business critical systems and technical teams
+ Understanding of cloud computing or the hosting market place
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Previous experience developing service and support processes and procedures to drive ever-increasing levels of service.
+ First class management and operations delivery skills

Desirable

+ Good understanding of cloud computing/managed hosting technologies
+ Understanding of Windows and Linux Operating Environments
+ Understanding of SAN storage
+ Basic network knowledge
+ Previous ITIL experience
+ Previous Experience managing teams within the hosting marketplace
