The Children’s Community Therapy Team (CCTT) is a multi-professional team providing therapeutic services to children with additional / complex needs in the Doncaster community. We currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic Band 6 Senior Speech and Language Therapist to assess and offer ongoing support for children with complex physical disabilities. Children may also have additional complex or healthcare needs.

The successful candidate will be experienced in the assessment and offering ongoing support for children who require augmentative and alternative communication aids and it is essential to have a significant amount of experience working with low, mid and high tech AAC devices. Candidates will be experienced and independent in paediatric dysphagia management.

The post holder will also provide specialist assessment, differential diagnosis, intervention and discharge for children with physical disabilities and speech, language and communication disorders. The post holder will assist in the planning and provision of training in specialty areas for carers, other professionals and those involved in the care of children referred to the service.

You will be highly motivated about your work and keen to make a difference to the lives of the patients in your care. Naturally you will have excellent clinical, communications and interpersonal skills and we'll expect you to have good time management capabilities to ensure you can manage your own caseload efficiently.

This is a part-time post working 22.5 hours per week.
