Job Description

We are seeking a Senior SAP Analyst – Finance and Business Process to join our International Financial Systems team based in Hammersmith on a permanent basis.

The International Financial Systems team is responsible for managing all aspects related to the use of the company’s finance systems; primarily SAP for all countries outside North America.  This includes all processes from purchasing, billing, general accounting through to forecast and planning and reporting. 
 
Aims of the Job:

As the Senior SAP Analyst, you will primarily support and act as the point of contact for SAP finance processes (FI-CO, Projects and Assets) and reporting issues across the EMEA region.
 
Collecting issues from the sites on SAP finance and business processes, you will provide SAP and specific Disney process support  to end-users and management. .
 
You’ll provide assistance with SAP implementations for new acquisitions and provide expertise on deviations away from Disney Global template versus SAP standard functionality to comply with country statutory requirements. Alternately, you will also assist in deactivations, liquidations and mergers to ensure these comply with the global template as well as assisting and liaising with the US Disney Financial Systems team on components of enterprise initiatives  
 
You will actively participate in Release Management testing using Application Life Management (ALM) tool used by TWDC for release testing and will provide training (possibly including travel) to our various EMEA territories.
 
You will also provide advice to the sites on best practice in SAP operations in the specific way that the system is configured for Disney, developing pro-active solutions for recurring issues and identifying enhancement and opportunities for process improvement given the in-depth knowledge of each process area that is required.
 
Additional responsibilities will include working with the communication team to issue Helpful Hints, Financial Systems Bulletins and other communications to relevant user groups throughout EMEA and assisting with small to medium scope implementations or deactivations.
 
About you:

Suitable candidates will offer the following skills and experience:

  • Accounting experience, demonstrating a good understanding of the accounting process flows required in SAP in a large corporate environment, most preferably in the media industry.
  • Basic tax accounting experience, demonstrating a good understanding of the tax regulation and reporting process flows required in SAP for a large corporate environment, preferably in the media industry.
  • Finance experience, demonstrate a good understanding of the finance process including forecast and plan. Business Warehouse and Business Objects Analysis proficiency highly desired.
  • Experience of system legal entity restructuring process particularly deactivation is desirable.
  • An excellent knowledge of SAP is essential, particularly FI/CO modules.
  •  Experience of using SAP in a large media organisation is mandatory.
  • Experience of working on SAP HANA is extremely desirable.
  • Ability to work with, understand and support different lines of business as well as different levels of clientele.
  • Experience within a formal project methodology including blueprint, design, configuration, testing and support preferred.
  • Experience with SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) is mandatory
  • Interface, Banking and Business Warehouse knowledge highly desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP iDocs and middleware technology is desirable.
  • A good knowledge of the Cognos and Oracle is desirable.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Mandatory experience with Time and project management.
  • Process mapping skills desirable
  • Mandatory extensive experience at Systems issue scoping, troubleshooting, problem solving, the ability to root cause application issues and resolution resource estimation.
