Senior Planning Engineer - Civils - Greater ManchesterA Senior Planning Engineer is currently required by one of our key clients based in Greater Manchester. The Senior Planning Engineer will join the Civil Engineering Division of a leading main contractor who highly regarded for their history and expertise in delivering technically challenging projects. They have a very strong order book and they are looking to reinforce their planning capabilities due to recent project wins and an increase in tender enquiries.
The Senior Planning Engineer will join an experienced team and they will be given the opportunity to work on the full life cycle of projects from tender stage through to completion. They will be involved on a wide range of civil engineering projects which are valued between £5-100m. This is a great opportunity offering a varied work load and exposure to a wide range of projects covering the North West.
The Senior Planning Engineer will need to demonstrate a track record of working in a similar environment. They will have a civil engineering background and will have experience of working on projects at tender and contract stages within a main contracting environment.
Candidate
* Minimum of 4 years planning experience
* Have a main contracting background
* Qualification in construction - Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent
* Strong user of Primavera P6 or other planning software packages
* Preferably have both tender and contract planning experience
* Strong communication skills
* Thorough understanding of construction techniques
On offer is a competitive salary which is dependent upon experience between £50-70,000 per annum plus an attractive benefits package which includes company car or car allowance of £6,000, private medical, healthcare, life assurance, pension, travel expenses, 33 days holiday and other benefits.
