Senior Manager – Treasury Operations

What you become a part of
Treasury team supporting the development and implementation of best practices for cash and liquidity management.  Further responsibilities include managing the Company’s cash management bank relationships, internal control environment for the company’s overall banking, project management, and subject matter expert on Treasury Management system.
 
What to expect
Cash Management:
•The cash/liquidity management of the company involves analyzing company payables and receivables along with other cash flow and liquidity impacts to maximize cash efficiencies.  Evaluate cash management strategies while working with the operating units, tax, accounting, legal and other members of finance teams. 
•Perform financial analysis of alternative liquidity products/techniques for various bank account structures to provide cost-effective cash management solutions.
•Serves as back up to Treasury Manager on positioning and customer service support to accounting teams for treasury transactions.
 
Internal Control Management:
•Ensure compliance with settlement processes and controls on the Company’s Treasury transactional payments and settlements of foreign exchange, commodities, intercompany loans and investments.
•Ensure proper compliance of controls for all cash movements as well as online banking activity and the transactions are reported to accounting in order to receive desired treatment.  Work with both internal and external audit teams to ensure all control requirements are met timely 
•Work to meet objective of simulating business continuity management testing for all critical bank interfaces within the company to ensure the company maintains liquidity during a potential disaster.
 
Technology Management:
•Perform as the subject matter expert to all Treasury Management System matters.
•Develops relationships with internal and external technical resources to ensure Treasury maintains a high level of efficiency and security on systems.
 
Treasury Representative – Company Initiatives:
•Steward or perform the treasury functions related to Company initiatives, including providing technical advice regarding financial products, electronic bank access, legal documentation, and implementing a standardized bank customer service experience for the Finance shared service center.
•Coordinate relationships with third party services providers, e.g., banks, to ensure continued access to quality financial market services are provided at minimal costs.
 
Project Management:
•Creates and executes work plans on projects as assigned and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
•Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
•Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
•Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
 
Management Responsibilities:
•Keep apprised of Company actions or policy changes that impact current responsibilities.
•Consults with management and manages implementation of best practices.
•Build an understanding of customer/client needs and expectations in area of accountability.  Formulate plans and strategies for a department, or project to satisfy internal client or external customer requirements.  
•Comply with government laws and regulations, and Company specific policies, procedures and standards.  Identify and implement internal controls and safeguards as necessary.     
•Protect information provided in confidence from outside sources and ensure confidential information is not disseminated to those not directly involved.  
•Assist others in achieving their developmental goals by providing advice, resources, coaching, or other support. 
•Leverage knowledge from participation in peer organizations and other resources to implement best practices that add value to the organization. 
 
Budget responsibility:
•Responsible for meeting targeted goals for company’s bank fee budget costs of over $800k spend annually. Develop economic assumptions for use in the Company’s Annual Bank Fee Forecast Plan.
 
External reporting relationship(s)
•Manage large group of bank service providers.
 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Economics - Finance Concentration Preferred
•Certified Treasury Professional  or similar qualification preferred
 
Experience:
•Solid work experience in treasury required
•Deep understanding of Treasury Management Systems, banking 
 
Technical Skills:
•Ability to work as a team player, be self-motivated, and to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines and deliverables
•Ability to direct, lead, and manage people on projects and initiatives including with individuals that are and are not direct reports
•Strong ability to analyze costs, concepts and systems
•Ability to liaise with key internal stakeholders, including Accounting, Shared Services, and Tax, Business Unit Finance teams and communicate the perspectives and needs of the Treasury Group
•Effective written and oral communication for presentation and summary to senior leadership
•Proficient use of computer software packages (especially Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP and Treasury Management Systems)
