About the Job:
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Director / Head of Corporate Development EMEA, the Senior Manager Corporate Development will: • Support the Senior Director in developing inorganic growth opportunities for PayPal globally – from idea to business case to deal execution and post-deal integration – taking a holistic, cross-functional approach. • Own all aspects of the deal, including sourcing, qualification, intial rationale/pitch, financial modelling, due diligence and closing and integration activities. • Lead and coordinate a cross-functional deal team within PayPal as well as serve as a primary point of contact to target company management. • Ambitiously identify and qualify new ideas and companies for PayPal from internal and external sources. The role can be based in either London or Luxembourg.

Job Requirements:

Education required:

MBA from a top-rated business school, or similar level of experience and skills.

 

Experience required:

Proven experience in Corporate Development, Private Equity, Venture Capital or Investment Banking in addition to experience in Management Consulting, Business Development, Product Marketing, Product Management/Development. Experience in a deal environment as well as an operational one where people leadership was required. Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, financial analysis, due diligence and negotiation, gained in a position such as Principal, VP or Junior VP.

 

Skills & Abilities required:

  • Strong analytical skills, fluency in performing rigorous financial, valuation and broad quantitative analyses and familiarity with accounting and key operational metrics

Knowledge required:

Fluency in English required. Knowledge of French and/or German desirable but not required.
