Senior Legal Services Officer & Company Secretary

The Legal Services and Corporate Governance team provides high quality legal advice and assistance on a wide range of subjects supporting all areas of the University s activities. 

The Senior Legal Services Officer and Company Secretary will provide support for the legal aspects of contract preparation, negotiation and approval and will work with the rest of the Legal Services team to manage legal risk across a diverse remit. You will also be responsible for the corporate governance and company secretarial duties relating to the University s subsidiary companies. 

To be successful in the role you must be able to evidence experience in a qualified role as solicitor, barrister or legal executive. Applications are welcome both from individuals who are working in practice and from those who are currently working in-house. You must be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships across a range of internal and external contacts.
