Senior Engineer Tools - GPU Profiler

The suitable candidate will be responsible for performing all, or part, of the software development cycle for a given area of software development As a Senior Software Engineer you will be expected to develop and maintain a wide understanding of all Linux based platforms including the graphics components that can be used in Samsung devices and to provide high level technical input to architectural designs.

Skills and attributes: Essential • Extensive experience in embedded Linux, Linux kernel and device drivers. Confidence and tenacity to work on any areas within the Linux kernel. • C and C++ and an understanding of Java programming languages • Good knowledge of Linux and GPU system monitoring and performance measurement tools. • Good knowledge of developing GUI based applications. Knowledge of Qt development, Eclipse development or Android Studio development an advantage. • Good analytical and logical thinking capability Desirable • Experience in performance measurement and analysis of GPU micro-architectures and complex 3D scene workload, and exposure to different graphics benchmarks. • Experience of optimising performance and power usage of embedded systems, with an understanding of the trade-offs • Experience in software testing and debugging techniques on embedded targets • Good knowledge of mobile device hardware • Experience of Graphics particularly in design and development of Graphic stacks for embedded systems including low-level graphics acceleration.
