THE ROLE
I am now seeking two Senior Claims Consultants who have good experience in the construction industry on large building projects and infrastructure projects for a role mostly dealing with contentious work, to be based in London with short term trips to the Middle East.
THE CLIENT
My client is a successful firm of construction claims and dispute resolution consultants working on projects in the building construction and infrastrucuture sectors.
They have work in the UK, Qatar, Dubai and Oman currently and have offices both in the UK and in the Middle East. They are expanding and will offer excellent prospects for ambitious candidates.
THE CANDIDATE
They are now seeking a SENIOR CLAIMS CONSULTANT for all dispute resolution and claims matters to join them in London with short term trips of a week or two at a time to the Middle East to work on claims on a range of projects which currently includes football stadia, rail, airports etc.
You must be a skilled commercial / quantum and claims management consultant with at least eight years' or more experience in the construction industry and preferably with a minimum of three years' or more exposure in claims preparation and dispute resolution across a range of project types and it is essential that you are experience in contentious claims work.
You must have excellent written and spoken English, and you must also be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor or Chartered Civil Engineer by training prior to moving in to doing claims and dispute work i.e. MRICS or MICE qualified.
You will also need to have a recognised BSc in either Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering from a British or Irish university and you must have for either another firm of claims / dispute consultants or for large contractors having had good exposure to claims.
You may also have an MSc in Construction Law or MCIArb or similar.
You will need to have excellent knowledge across various contract types, and be able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative.

Salary in the region of £70000 to £95000 or more, plus bonus, pension and health insurance.
