The role will contribute behaviour change expertise in the development and delivery of new products and services in key areas of focus, including workplace health and healthy ageing. The postholder will practively identify, catalyse and lead opportunities across Bupa, bringing commercial experience/expertise to help maximise Bupa’s impact on the health of our people and customers. The post holder will also be responsible for shaping and influencing policy, building strategic alliances and creating new collaborations that serve Bupa’s purpose of longer, healthier, happier lives.
Lead on the development, delivery and evaluation of the behaviour change / behavioural science and commercial elements of our technical consultancy offering to our staff and customers/clients with a focus on the key setting of workplace health and wellbeing
Behaviour change capability building work with the aim of developing practitioners, advanced practitioners and supporting a Community of Practice across the business to embed behaviour change within services and propositions
Support the delivery of a joint work programme between Bupa and the Centre for Behaviour Change at UCL, working with others in the team to bring both learning from and to the academic environment as part of developing a centre of behaviour change expertise.
Provide behaviour change advice and expertise, bringing behaviour change solutions aimed at improving health and wellbeing using up-to-date evidence, state-of-the-art technology and appropriate theories from behaviour and computer science, where applicable.
Provide leadership and commercial expertise on specific areas of behaviour change, shaping interventions to ensure scale and impact.
Develop and support a network of behaviour change champions and practitioners, including advanced practitioners to broker, enhance and cascade thinking and re-use best-practice, joining up the bigger picture of workplaces, communities and wider networks/stakeholders.
Source external innovation and thinking on behaviour change, with particular focus on wellbeing products and services, including mobile and digital channels and bring this back into the business to inform future direction.
Work with partners, such as the Centre for Behaviour Change at UCL and through networks, such as the CMO and CEO Networks to catalyse innovative approaches to behaviour change.
Lead on the establishment and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks and metrics for behaviour change as a routine part of services and propositions drawing on robust methodologies applicable to the context, as part of continual evaluation and insight generation to measure behaviour change impact.
Postgraduate degree in psychology, health psychology or related behaviour change or behavioural science discipline
3 years relevant post graduate experience
Excellent, up-to-date knowledge of behavioural science evidence, methods and theory and be able to apply this to a wide range of topics.
