Nike Finance employees play a key role in that progress by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to drive value for every Nike shareholder. They manage accounting and reporting for Nike’s multi-billion-dollar global investment portfolio, debt and equity instruments, and other Treasury activities. They strategize, forecast, audit, analyze, budget, research and lead important decisions. Across Nike’s diverse geographies and businesses, Finance employees deliver far more than just the numbers.

• Management of the full Procure to Pay (P2P) process which will include liaising with our outsourced overseas business partner to ensure continued process development
• Ownership financial interface and associated reconciliation of payroll into our financial books and records
• Ownership of the fixed asset accounting process across wholesale and Retail business
• Support the external statutory audit, including preparation work and interface with our external auditors.
• Assist with all internal audits from our European or Global head offices.
• Own the control and forecast of cashflow requirements to the European Treasury Department
• Provide month end and quarter end support to the Finance team, including preparation of journals, prepayments and accruals
• Completion and submission of National Statistics surveys
• Understand financial policies, procedures and systems to ensure business compliance with internal Nike Corporate policies, SOX compliance and external statutory reporting requirements as necessary.
• Provide support to the UK/IE Accounting Manager with multiple ongoing and ad hoc accounting projects
• Cover for Accounting Manager in periods of holiday and absence

Qualifications

• Batchelor Degree in Finance and Accounting or similar preferable. Applicants must be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
• You will naturally excel at being able to work on your own initiative and paying a strong attention to detail
• Experience in working within an accounting function
• Good MS Office and financial system knowledge (SAP system knowledge preferred)
• Strong intellect, results-orientated with a personal impact and a sense of urgency
• Proven track record of success and development in previous roles
• High integrity, transparency and confidence
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
