Duties & Responsibilities
To support the Campus Maintenance Manager in formulating, implementing and achieving the department business plan and branch targets. To lead, coach and develop the team to achieve service level agreements and budget targets whilst maintaining the Partnership core values, behaviours and principles.Key areas of the role will include: 

Managing a team of technicians and tradesmen supporting a 24 hour site – three buildings, circa 3,000,000 sq. ft. 

Completing appraisals and supporting personal development with team members, including mandatory and specialist training supported by external organisations. 

Performance managing the team, evaluating work output and quality, checking finish, snagging and instigating remedial actions as required. 

Carrying out assessment and disciplinary procedures as necessary. 
Arranging shift cover, coordinating attendance rotas and performance-managing the team, booking holidays and supporting unplanned absence with rota changes. 

Ensuring training matrices and programmes are up to date, coordinating with training department to schedule internal training on time. 

Ensuring Partner PDPs and technical training framework e-learning packages are fully up to date. 

Rolling-out bespoke internal training and refreshers to technicians and trades to comply with applicable legislation and in response to business requirements.

Job Requirements
This is an essential role in a key support department which would best suit an individual who has good communication skills and is able to deliver results. 
One of the main functions of this role is to ensure statutory and legislative objectives are met with a wide array of systems, plant and equipment. 
Contractor management also features significantly in this role where obtaining efficiency and good value from an established contractor base is essential. 
Strong Organisational skills and focussed leadership are imperative. 

Key areas of the role will include: 

Communicate and share all relevant information in a timely manner, 
respecting that your team are co-owners. 

Prioritise tasks to ensure minimal downtime and operational disruption whilst meeting milestone targets for planned activities. 

Actively escalate and chase reactive works both directly with contractors and third parties. 

Influence team work output, monitor standards and address defects both internally and via contractor base – evaluating planned, reactive and project activities before job closure. 

Ensure legislative record keeping and documentation is current, compliant and fit for purpose, managed through audit and intervention where necessary.

Successfully able to manage a number of priorities simultaneously 
Flexibility 
Driving License
