This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior retail manager to take ownership for one of the most exciting areas of Selfridges’ Oxford Street Store. You’ll be a confident and inspiring leader, with a genuine interest in the world of Contemporary fashion. Your passion for product and service will make you stand out from the crowd, but most importantly, you will demonstrate how you can build on this to engage and inspire your team to deliver the world class service our customers have come to expect.

 

KNOW THE ROLE

 

Working closely with the Divisional Manager, you’ll take complete responsibility for your area as you introduce a culture which puts the team at the centre of all that we do. You’ll need to provide support and guidance to your team of Department Managers as they work towards delivering your vision. You’ll make the most of your time out on the floor by creating a selling environment that exceeds expectations and raises standards of performance across the board. You’ll also collaborate with key business partners such as Buying and Merchandising, and through your Department Managers and Brand Specialists, you’ll influence the product range in your area. And at every stage you’ll inspire your team and your colleagues with your passion for your product and your knowledge of key trends.

Your impressive retail management background will give you a confident leadership style, and you will be able to demonstrate creativity in enhancing the customer experience that your team can offer. You’ll have a real flair for coaching, directing and communicating with your team. You’ll also be an accomplished problem-solver too – someone who thrives on new situations and fresh challenges. Your commercial acumen and influencing skills will be essential in driving your vision, and most importantly, engaging your team along the way.
