As the Safety and Ergonomics Manager, you will be managing a small team of four Safety Advisors making sure everyone in the company complies with health and safety legislation. 

Your reporting line will be to the Technology Directors and you will be expected to attend Board meetings and provide feedback regarding the health and safety nature of the business.

As the BMW Group has sites in Oxford and Hampshire there will be travel elements to your role, however this will be infrequent. 

You will establish policies and procedures that create and maintain a safe working environment, identify potential hazards and develop practical and solid solutions to mitigate these. The ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce will be a key element to your role and so strong engagement skills will be vital. 

The goal of this position will be to ensure the BMW Group’s workplaces meet all legal requirements and all area of the business are actively supported through a close working relationship with occupational health. 

To be considered, you must have: 

- A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent experience 
- An engineering background 
- Experience of managing a team 

Proactive and motivated, as the Safety and Ergonomics Manager, you’ll need to highly organised with a close attention to detail and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
