One of the largest providers of electronic payment solutions based in Essex require a Brand Manager (BM) who will be responsible for developing the firms Giftcard market. Knowledge of retail distribution and / or product management within the digital industry is essential. A key objective is to broaden the relationships with all key digital brands such as Microsoft, Adobe, iTunes and Google plus other named gift card solutions.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the BM will leverage these headquarter relationships to benefit the companies local efforts in each market.
Key objectives will be to influence headquarter level brand decision makers to result in increased POSA and electronic software distribution/downloadable content (ESD/DLC) of these key brands in new and existing retailers.
In addition, the BM will seek to fully monetise the firms Retail Services including card production, product management, campaign management, merchandising, logistics and skilled selling.
Key objectives also include developing and implementing a full online and offline consumer lifecycle management strategy and building on the firms existing distribution to create categories for product offering.
The BM will leverage brand headquarter relationships to develop new channels and verticals, such as selling digital content through independent dealers and expanding ESD code sales to the channel. The DBM will manage the on-going business relationship with the product provider by creating a feedback loop between local markets and the product provider feeding back opportunities, successes and problems.
The DBM will meet and exceed all company and individual goals in line with the company’s policies, procedures and values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Liaise with local/global product providers, providing tools to local teams where necessary, to ensure retail acceptance, promotional activity, effective promotion, and where appropriate will seek proper levels of provider funding to offset costs.
At the headquarter level, create, build and develop sound commercial, mutually beneficial business relationships with key digital brands.
Deploy market expansion tactics with key brand partners, through a program of defined business development activities
Develop and maintain detailed business plans for each brand, in line with the firms global product/brand objectives
Provide support for contract negotiation with potential brand partners in conjunction with the global/local management and legal team.
Work closely with the Managing Director and Global Product Directors to ensure that local and global product and brand objectives are being met
Other duties, special projects, and special reporting as assigned
Be available to undertake such travel as the Company will require from time to time.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in sales/business development, retail distribution and or product management within the digital industry
Demonstrated experience in building and creating influential relationships with senior personnel with key brands resulting in increased revenue and profitability. Key executive level relationships at major brand companies is preferred
