The MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit (CBU) is an internationally renowned research institute with state-of-the art cognitive neuroscience facilities.
Applicants are invited for a Research Assistant to support a longitudinal study being conducted in a research clinic for children with specific learning difficulties. The clinic is housed in the Centre for Attention, Learning and Memory (CALM) at the CBU. The aim of this study is to investigate the neurodevelopmental pathways that compromise learning. The primary responsibility of the post-holder will be to oversee the day-to-day administration and testing of individual children for the project under the supervision of the manager of CALM, Dr Joni Holmes.
You will have a degree in psychology, neuroscience or a related field, and experience of working with children or other vulnerable groups. Basic computing skills (Word, Excel) and basic statistical knowledge (ANOVA, correlation) and the ability to communicate effectively with child participants and their families are essential.
