Research Nurse Palliative Care
Band 6 (the post is for one year, but hopefully will have funding to continue). Part time, job share or secondment will be considered for appropriately qualified applicants.
Working on portfolio studies for palliative care within the CRN: South London based at King’s College Hospital within the Cicely Saunders Institute.
We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a qualified nurse who is interested in both palliative care and research. You will work alongside a senior research and another band 6 nurse to help with a number of projects being undertaken jointly between Kings College London and local NHS providers. Your base will be in the Cicely Saunders Institute.
You will be involved in recruiting to open studies on the NIHR portfolio, travelling to the network hospitals, hospices and to patient’s homes, conducting interviews and collecting data. You will work alongside local palliative care teams and researchers based at the Cicely Saunders Institute and have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of research relating to palliative and end of life care.
You will have a good knowledge of palliative care or other relevant experience and be interested in improving knowledge and care in this field.
