The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families supports distressed children and their families through innovative therapeutic practice and research, training and promoting awareness of mental health issues.
The EBPU is seeking to recruit a Research Fellow to coordinate and be part of an evaluation team for HeadStart.
Much of this work involves coordinating the project, commissioned by Big Lottery, where the Centre and partners have been chosen to implement a seven year project to generate and facilitate learning around supporting resilience in children and young people (http://www.annafreud.org/about-us/news/2016/07/team-awarded-28-million-to-support-programme-aiming-to-improving-the-lives-of-at-risk-young-people/)
The work will include leading on and supporting quantitative research aspects of the project.
There is also the potential for interested candidates to gain experience supervising postgraduate research projects which are related to EBPU studies. One day per week would be devoted to supervision and this role would be offered by the MSc in Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology (ideally Wednesdays but day by negotiation) as a separate contract of employment. Those interested in including this academic supervisor role should make this clear in the application.
Please note, candidate’s interest (or not) in this aspect of the post will not influence the probability of being shortlisted.
The post-holder will be based at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families offices, 12 Maresfield Gardens, London NW3 5SU and 4-8 Rodney Street, N1 9JH – or at the Centre’s new London-based offices, Old Street.
The Centre values diversity and aims to have a workforce that reflects this.
We encourage applications from all sections of the community.
