Research Associate (EURIPIDES study)

Queen Mary University of London - Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine

This is an opportunity to be part of the exciting EURIPIDES study, which is a new NIHR funded study, "Evaluating the Use of Patient Experience Data to Improve the Quality of Inpatient Mental Health Carehttp://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/med/EURIPIDES." You will be working as part of a research team that includes Research Associates and professional Survivor Researchers. With other members of the research team you will conduct interviews in a number of inpatient clinical settings, analyse, and interpret the data.

Two posts are available: one post will be located at University of Warwick Medical School and the other at Queen Mary University London, Centre for Psychiatry.

This post sits within the Wolfson Institute, Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, part of Queen Mary University of London. The SMD is a leading medical and dental school that offers international levels of excellence in research and teaching as well as supporting quality in clinical service for a population of unrivalled ethnic diversity in east London and the wider Thames Gateway. The Centre for Psychiatry is one of the three Centres that comprise the Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine, the others being the Centre for Environmental & Preventive Medicine (CEPM) and CRUK Centre for Epidemiology Mathematics and Statistics (CEMS). The Institute has an international reputation for its research and teaching in epidemiology and preventive medicine. The Centre for Psychiatry offers highly successful postgraduate programmes in Mental Healthcare.

The post is a full-time post working 35 hours per week and fixed term for 13 months. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and interest free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
