Our client has been established for almost 30 years and specialise in the provision of a range of monitoring and reliability services within a number of diverse manufacturing environments, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly self-motivated Research and Development Manager to coordinate the activities of an established and successful team.
With customers ranging from food processing to petrochemical refinement and at sites based throughout the UK, our client enhances the effectiveness of their customer's maintenance organisations and departments through the development and implementation of various reliability strategies and techniques in environments at the sharp end of process management and maintenance operations, and the successful candidate for the Research and Development Manager will be tasked with a wide range of challenging duties that will include (but not be limited to):
To be considered for this varied and challenging role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will ideally have attained a PhD in project management or relevant subjects and will demonstrate knowledge of PMBOK along with proven experience of working with dedicated project management software packages.
You will also demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in the application of expert systems (particularly decision making techniques such as AHP) and of reliability and maintenance engineering with previous experience of working in the reliability and maintenance service sector essential for the position. With your extensive knowledge of research methodology and experience in conducting research and the ability to quickly understand technical topics, you will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and effective analytical, organisational and problem solving skills essential for the role.
