About the Team

Working within our in-house design and development team you’ll be responsible for ensuring shopfitting projects. This includes new sites, refits/refurbishments and reactive / cosmetic maintenance works including those shopfitting projects delegated by Department Director or Head of Shopfitting. You’ll deliver these projects from inception to completion in accordance with the Company’s Shopfitting Design Concept, within budget, set timescales and are commercially viable in accordance with the company’s Shopfitting Appraisal Model and financial criteria.

About the Role

You will
  1. Ensure all projects are completed in line with our own shopfitting, health and safety standards as well as making sure they meet all relevant statutory legislation.
 
  1. You’ll be required to travel extensively within the Scotland and Ireland region, carrying out regular site visits to support the smooth running and timely completion of all projects.(2-3 days night per week)
 
  1. Rigorously monitoring costs throughout each project, you’ll quickly communicate and justify any overspend to senior management.
  2. You’ll also be responsible for monitoring the performance of all external suppliers, as well as liaising with internal teams to ensure all business requirements are being addressed.

Criteria


About you:
  1. You’ll have excellent technical knowledge and strong retail shopfitting experience
 
  1. You’ll have an academic background in construction or design and you’ll also need to have extensive and up-to-date knowledge of legislation, codes of practice governing building works, work place regulations, healthy and safety and planning acts.
  2. Commercially minded, you’ll have a strong understanding of financial management and budget control.
  3. You’ll also closely monitor the latest trends, technology and practices to help the business develop the most efficient shopfitting strategy.
  4. With a valid CSCS qualification and card you’ll be able to lead, motivate and develop people through your extensive knowledge and experience. You’ll also be a natural problem solver with the ability to communicate with and influence people at every level of the business.
