About the Job:
An interesting position has become available working for a global engineering consultancy in London. They are expanding their team and seeking an Assurance Engineer to work on the review and certification activities, providing assistance on the development into new markets. 

This client is a £1.2 billion management, engineering and development consultancy with 15,000 staff and a global reach over six continents, with an impressive portfolio of work including Crossrail, HS2, Northern Hub and Midland Mainline. They are a Notified Body (NoBo) and Designated Body (DeBo) by the Department for Transport under Rail regulations, and are looking to expand their Assurance team in their London office.

As the Assurance Engineer, your role will primarily be leading delivery of projects in accordance to clients satisfaction and requirements. 

You will be: 

- Producing reports, planning and organising projects to budgets and timeframes, developing understanding of laws and requirements to deliver projects.
- Proposing development strategies based on customer requirements and regulations/ specifications. - Reviewing designs, plans and contracting activities 
- Developing business opportunities - Possibility of travelling to other locations - offices of company/ client, office or site. 

You will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Engineering experience working within a regulatory technical environment, using engineering standards and specifications within rail 
- Project Management experience - producing reports and certificates in line with processes, and business development 
- Ideally experience with European Commission (EC) regulations, legislation interpretation/ contract law
- Knowledge of RIR (Railway Interoperability Regulations), Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSIs), and Notified National Technical Rules (NNTRs, with experience working with inspection procedures - Risk and safety management systems experience
- And a background in a particular rail discipline
