Basic qualifications:
• BS degree (or equivalent)
• Relevant experience in Business Analysis; Portfolio Management; Consumer Packaged Goods / FMCG; New Product Development; or Stage-Gate Innovation
• Strong analytical skills
• An ability to map out and understand complex, highly interdependent data - to distil simplicity and elegant solutions
• Negotiation skills and ability to influence with or without authority at a levels above and below own grade level
• Advanced Excel and Access (SQL preferable)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a R&D Operations Manager to join our team in Weybridge. The purpose of the R&D Operations Manager is to inspire and empower the Oral Health Category innovation pipeline delivery now and in the future through the insightful application of portfolio management techniques and reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
Portfolio Management:
• Consolidating and documenting the fundamental components of the Oral Health Category’s portfolio (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues, and quality requirements)
• Recommending how financial and other resources should be allocated amongst Oral Health Category change initiatives to optimise the Oral Health Category’s return on investment
• Planning and controlling finances of Oral Health Category projects as a means of driving performance and as part of the organisation’s overall financial management in partnership with Projects and Finance Directors
• Preparing and maintaining an overall schedule of resource use, which avoids bottlenecks and conflicting demands, and sequencing outcomes, to enable the efficient realisation of benefits
• Establishing and managing reviews (including Portfolio Management Board – PMB) at appropriate points, which inform Oral Health Category Leadership decision making and ensure appropriate governance
• Identifying, defining, evaluating, planning, tracking and realising the business benefits of innovation portfolio projects
• Identifying, addressing and resolving differences between individuals and/or competing interest groups within the Oral Health Category
• Identifying and monitoring portfolio risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues that affect the OH portfolio
• Gathering independent evidence that project and programme information is valid and likely to achieve its aims
• Managing stakeholders (to SVP), taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests
• Determining the best means of satisfying business requirements within the context of portfolio objectives and constraints i.e. developing solutions
• Administrative support as required e.g. meeting preparation; writing high quality minutes; running reports; data entry
Business Analysis:
• Strategic planning; business model; process design; data & system analysis
