What skills & experience do I need to apply?
We are looking for an influential and persuasive member of our Operational Quality Team to increase the presence of Quality in all production and support areas. You will have knowledge of the right quality standards required, an ability to spot when this standard is not being applied and a strong ability to coach, influence and persuade people to ensure we are making medicines in a compliant manner.

If you have an understanding of production areas and quality standards, this would be an advantage. If not, an ability to quickly gather these skills will be essential to being effective in the role.

The successful candidate will be confident, approachable and able to ask the right questions in order to gather all the information necessary to make the right decisions. You will be comfortable asking challenging questions and staying calm in a large number of diverse and developing situations. You will be able to lead problem solving, think on your feet and lead a team to the reach the right conclusion.

The site is a key member of the Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) organisation producing some of the world’s leading dermatological, sterile, inhaled and oral medicines for a wide range of diseases including MRSA, leukaemia and HIV.

What is the purpose of this role?
This role is key to ensure that products produced for our patients have been manufactured and packaged in accordance with
Good Manufacturing Practice and the highest quality standards. This role is vital in ensuring patients can have the highest confidence in our medicines.

As the Quality Co-ordinator/ Senior Quality Co-ordinator you will lead, prioritise and provide an effective product release service which ensures that
all products released for sale comply with all the required standards and meet our commitments.

You will direct investigative work into products failing to meet requisite standards and recommend the appropriate course of action. You will also develop and agree corrective actions arising from such incidents.

You will be expected to lead and direct complex investigations into deviation from GMP and laboratory investigations.  This will include assessing the situation initially to take the correct interim controls, directing on the scope and direction of the investigation and agreeing any CAPA actions at the conclusion.

You will be present in the production facility and will actively seek out opportunities to coach, advise and help people to meet the highest quality standards and make the right decisions in real time. Your role will be to be the face of quality in the production facility and be looked to as a leader when situations arise.

What are the pay and benefits?
PAY - We will reward your contributions to GSKs success through your salary, bonus or sales incentives, and recognition awards. 

Competitive Base Salary – Your salary is paid monthly on the 20th day of the month (or nearest business day) It is reviewed each year to ensure it stays competitive and reflects your performance and contribution to GSK’s strategy.

6% Annual Target Bonus – Your individual performance is worth 60% if your total bonus and is based on the achievement of your personal objectives. The high level results of your business area is worth 40% of your total bonus.

SHARES & SAVINGS – Gives you a stake in GSK’s success and helps you save for the future, in partnership with GSK.

Share Reward – Share reward allows you to invest up to 5% (maximum of £125)of your salary each month in GSK shares and receive a free share for every share you buy.

Share Save – Share Save is designed to help you save for the medium term, by giving you the opportunity to buy discounted GSK shares at the end of a three year savings period.

GSK Pension Plan – You automatically become a member of the GSK pension plan when you join GSK. An account is opened in your name and GSK contributes a core amount of 7% of your pensionable salary into your account each month. You are also required to make a contribution of 2%, GSK will match any contributions you make up to a maximum of 3% of your pensionable salary (total contributions up to 15%)

Holidays – You are entitled to 26-days paid personal holiday each year (increasing to 27 days after 5yrs and 28days after 10yrs service) plus eight paid public holidays.
