Project Manager
£50-£60k plus car allowance, pension, healthcare
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to run a £6million pound new build project in the North Wales/ West Cheshire area.
As the Project Manager you will be based on site, assuming overallresponsibility for the management, planning, programming & phasing of the project under the Project Manager’s delegated authority.
Therefore, it is critical that the successful candidates can demonstrate significant experience in running a project from start to finish with core time management, technical, planning and communication skills required, whilst ensuring all needs of the project are delivered.
Project Manager Responsibilities.
·Responsible for managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the project including the management of site team, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of a quality product within budget
·Produce construction phase plan and monitor throughout the project
·Consider tender preliminaries against actual requirements and review monthly
·Produce construction and Target programme and review on a weekly/Daily basis, including updating progress
·Produce Procurement Schedules & IRS with Site Manager
·Request, collate and distribute all contractual documentation required
·Produce Site Traffic Management Plan
·Produce SWMP
·Ensure best practices and quality are being maintained
·Liaise with all central support services
·Monitor health and safety on site on a daily basis
·Attend and chair (as appropriate) pre-start meetings with client, subcontract consultants , design team and site team
·Attend preconstruction reviews with key subcontractors
·Supervise and manage other members of the site team
·Coordinate and liaise with legal’s to identify any easements, section agreements, adoptions, bonds that may be required
·Attend pre-handover meetings
·Compile H&S Department compiling O&M Manuals
·Undertake sub-contractors assessments throughout and at the end of the contract period
The Successful Project Manager will possess the following skill set & attributes
·Have the ability to manage the design process from conception to completion including information flow, budget, value engineering, design co-ordination, in line with agreed dates and project specification and ensuring compliance with all statutory bodies.
·Possess a good understanding of the commercial elements of the projects under their control, establishing good working relationships with the commercial team to develop subcontractor packages, advise on technical elements, record variations and maximise project margin.
·A thorough understanding of current health and safety legislation and the ability to communicate and implement the company’s Health and Safety Policy, standards and procedures at a site level.
·Ability to compile internal and external reports with the confidence to deliver such reports to external bodies in a professional manner.
·The ability to chair and minute meetings including design and co-ordination meetings.
