About the Job:
Our client a Local Authority are looking to appoint a Interim Project Manager (Construction) the PM will manage 3-4 projects as an average from full design and build, the role would suit someone with experience in one construction specialism like engineering, surveying etc. 
Someone who has good project management experience and could manage several projects would be a good match. 

More about the role : 

To provide project management for the delivery of the Client's property related capital programme across all Directorates, ensuring divisional objectives are delivered and service unit performance is maintained. 

Ensuring external partners, who provide professional and technical advice, to enable the delivery of a wide range of capital projects and the associated service level agreements and key performance indicators. 

The size of the programme differs from year to year but typically will be, value wise, in the region of £130million plus per annum. Be responsible for the effective construction project management of all capital programme projects. 

Responsible for the project management of the property related capital programme, including Stakeholder management, issue resolution and contract management of external design team and contractors. 

The jobs/direct reports that the post holder manages are directly responsible for the delivery of property related capital projects. This includes liaison with Directorates, customers, partners and stakeholders; liaison with project management contractors and design teams and internal departments i.e. procurement, legal, IT, development control etc. 

Education, Qualifications and Training:- 

Demonstrate education to NVQ level 4 (asset management, management) or equivalent. 
Knowledge of construction contracts e.g. JCT suite/NEC3 
Qualified in SMSTS 
Holds Yellow CSCS card 

Knowledge & Experience:- 

Clear knowledge base relating to a range of property management standards applicable to the post i.e. Asset Management, National Care Standards, OfSted, DDA etc. 
Evidence of managing direct customer contact and dealing with sensitive situations 
Demonstrate the ability to integrate management information and produce reports to a senior level within the organisation 
Work within a total team environment 
knowledge of building fabric and construction methods.
