What you become a part of
The production team leader will safely lead a manufacturing team within a work area on site. You will ensure the production lines and people you are responsible for achieve the output required of them within production performance, labour resource, quality, yield and CRS targets.
What to expect
1. Enable the exploitation of existing and developing product categories
• Lead and support as required new initiatives programmes
2. Drive Efficiency and Effectiveness
Site Raw Materials/Packaging Materials movement
• Manage the delivery of raw materials to realise line utilisation targets and production schedules
• Ensure RM/PM quality and supply issues are escalated when required
Syrup Production
• Manage the production of quality syrup to deliver line utilisation targets and production schedules
• Drive performance of the team using process monitoring systems and agreed management routines
• Effectively manage all planned and unplanned down time events to optimize line performance and production cost
• Utilise the input and the expertise of the other departments (Engineering, Upstream and QESH) to drive the production performance
Cost Control
• Ensure adherence to budget and cost targets
• Effectively manage the use of resources (utilities, raw materials, packaging material, labour, spare parts)
Maintenance Execution
• Ensure the effective and timely completion of maintenance plan (including cleaning and CIP)
Labour Planning
• Optimize the labour in line with the core crew model to meet quality, safety and production performance
• Ensure people capability to flex people resource across lines and functions to meet fluctuations in demand
3. Drive Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
Quality Assurance
• Ensure on-line quality checks are carried out in accordance with quality testing standards to ensure product specification is met at all times
Quality, Environment and Health and Safety
• Lead basic incident management investigations to ensure there is no risk to products and people and incorporate learning into future practices
• Ensure health, safety and environment risk assessment processes are carried out in accordance with TCCMS standards to protect product and employees
Site Health and Safety
• Follow site safety best practices to ensure safe-working for self and to protect the safety of colleagues to demonstrate zero accident behaviour
• Ensure own personal hygiene meets requirements of food industry
4. Continuous Improvement/Functional Excellence
Performance monitoring/Continuous Improvement
• Share and replicate best practice with other teams and colleagues to improve production performance, yield, quality, safety and environment
• Active involvement in CI programmes
• Create and encourage an engaging environment that drives a continuous improvement and high performing culture
5. Team Management
• Recruit, induct, train and develop the team, providing the vision, direction and support to enable them to deliver their objectives and optimise and develop their performance in accordance with Country and CCE people processes
• Play a leadership role within manufacturing, personally role-modelling behaviours and own performance required to achieve the site’s objectives
• Create a culture of effective cross-functional and flexible working on site (flexibility across lines & functions) to ensure labour flexibility to meet fluctuations in demand, create opportunities for career paths and cost-effective labour planning
• Review, assess and positively manage the absence levels within the team
• Support and develop the performance of individual team members utilising performance management tools and techniques and resolve disputes using appropriate dispute resolution processes
• Ensure all inputs linked to changes to team members’ terms and conditions e.g. pay, overtime well being and welfare are made within specified timescales.
