Production Planning Engineer (Solidworks / CAD) 
This is a great opportunity for a Production Engineer in the West Midlands commutable from Birmingham, Dudley, Stourbridge, Halesowen, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Worcester, Tamworth, Coventry, Nuneaton. 
Paying approx £30,000 depending on experience; working for a highly successful and very established heavy engineering company

The Company
The successful Production Engineer will be working for an employer who:
has an excellent reputation around the world for heavy engineering
have impressive machining and engineering facilities 
offer turning, boring and 5 axis milling to supply fully finished components ready for installation

The Role
This fantastic, varied Production Engineer role will involve: creating route cards and work instructions, reading and interpreting customer drawings and specifications, ensuring dimensions will allow sufficient material to produce finished part, calculation of material yields and production / machining times, costing of testing requirements, liasing with subcontractors re pricing and lead time, creating purchase orders, production of routing packs, and manufacturing drawings using Solidworks, and liasing with customers.

The Candidate
As the successful Production Engineer you should have previous Production Engineer / Planning experience within a mechanical engineering / manufacturing environment, producing route cards or work instructions, and Solidworks / CAD Design skills. Any experience of working within heavy engineering or the marine / defence sector would be advantageous.
