Production Engineer

Work Wales is seeking to recruit a Production Engineer to work for a successful manufacturing company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performance and Quality Improvement
• Standard Operating Procedures / Workstudy / Work Measurement
• Production Layout & Flow
• Jig Design and Production
• Functional Responsibility for Health and Safety
• Maintenance Systems
• General Housekeeping Duties

Experience

• Mechanical Engineering Background
• Knowledge of Performance Improvement Techniques such as Six Sigma
• Designing and implementing production Layouts, Jigs and Fixtures
• Communicating with and Presentations to Management and staff at all levels
• Operational Experience of 'Tool Room' machinery.
• Experience of welding and fabrication.

Qualifications

• HNC in Production Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
• Safety Qualifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH Certification

Personal Attributes

• Must be outgoing, amenable, confident in ability and proactive in approach
• Must be computer literate
• Must be self-motivated and able to meet strict deadlines
