Production Engineer

Our client is looking for an experienced Production Engineer, seeking a challenging opportunity working in a high-tech technology environment. The purpose of the role is to improve production standards, working in a cross-functional environment from product design to finished article.

Production Engineer Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience in the manufacture of electro-mechanical systems
• Knowledge of software-based systems
• Possess a sound understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001
• Understanding of Product life cycle, new product introduction and stage-gate process
• Degree in electrical/electronic engineering, manufacturing or production engineering or mechanical engineering

Production Engineer Responsibilities:

• Develop, evaluate and implement manufacturing process, procedure, methodologies and best practices to improve quality, reliability and productivity
• Investigate problems, analyze root causes, develop and implement solutions
• Develop, update and maintain work instructions, build processes, engineering changes and corrective and preventative actions
• Provide technical support, training and guidance to team members to accomplish quality and production goals
• Create procedures and practices to meet standards of quality, performance, cost and delivery
• Work with planning to optimize routings, bill of materials and production planning
• Work with production to ensure product deliverables meet customer requirements and deadlines
• Participate in the New Product Introduction process
