We’re looking for our latest intake of graduates to join our Product & Marketing Programme.

It’s one of our specialised options available for graduates looking to join our graduate programme.

Products and Marketing at Nationwide covers a wide range of teams from product development, pricing and strategy, to brand & digital marketing and customer insight. As part of the two year graduate programme you’ll get the opportunity to work within several of our key areas. Our vision is to be the first choice for financial services, integral to achieving this are our product and marketing teams. There's never been a more exciting time to join.

Alongside our award winning development programme, successful applicants will be offered a permanent contract, a starting salary of £28,000 a year, plus an annual bonus based on performance.

Your placements will be based in Swindon or Bournemouth, don’t worry we help with relocation.

Who we're looking for

As a minimum requirement you’ll need to be:

  • Looking for a challenge and driven to learn and improve
  • Positive, tenacious and solution focused
  • Confident in building and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Committed to providing an excellent service to our customers & employees
  • On track to gain a 2.1 degree in any subject that you’ve studied, or have a minimum 2.1 degree already
  • 280 UCAS points, excluding General Studies
  • High performing, delivery focused and able to manage ambiguity
  • Digitally savvy

We’ll consider it a bonus if you also have analytical skills and an understanding of marketing

What you'll be doing

As a graduate in our Product & Marketing division, you’ll be open to a wide range of opportunities. We’ll provide you with first-hand experience of how different parts of the business work together. Day to day your work will be part of our multi award winning and structured development programme.

In our Product teams there are many exciting and diverse opportunities. For example, you could play a role in pricing our products or helping to develop our customer propositions to make sure our products and services meet our member’s needs. You could also join our Insight and Strategy teams supporting development of our long term strategy or helping us leverage key customer insights to inform our approach.

In the Marketing teams, you could work on the creation of external product marketing campaigns including branch, mail, press and TV. Or join our customer marketing team - developing our CRM software, carrying out customer research and running targeted campaigns. How about working within digital marketing, assisting and running campaigns on external digital media and developing our social media channels?

In both areas, you’ll help us to continuously improve, providing insight into current and emerging issues and proposing suitable solutions. Our teams work hard to make sure we’re competitive, innovative and offer beneficial solutions that meet our customers’ needs. By developing the right pricing strategy, a strong customer experience, the right relationships and solid analysis of performance all contribute towards effective marketing.
