Platform Engineering Developer (Cloud/AWS/Docker) Language agnostic

Software Engineers with an interest in Cloud are required for an award winning Cloud Consultancy Company specialising in next generation Cloud solutions for some of the largest companies in the world. They are based in the USA but are currently building a UK team and are offering remote work to Software Engineers with 10-15% Client contact time.

As a Platform Engineering Developer you will support the global team of Customer Delivery Engineering and Product Engineering operations using a variety of technologies and frameworks.

Ideal Platform Engineering Developer Candidate:

• 3+ years as a software engineer/software developer with expertise in designing and developing web services for scalable and complex systems
• 3+ years managing, diagnosing and debugging matrixed problems across the following disciplines: Applications, Infrastructure and Databases
• Deep understanding of various architecture types: Publish/Subscribe, Microservices, Service-Oriented, Client/Server, Java/Ruby/Chef/Puppet
• Understanding of multiple modalities of data storage and management
• RDBMS and NoSQL are essential

What the role of a Platform Engineering Developer involves:

• Eradicating duplicate effort and creating consistency in software wherever possible through: Automation design, templating and common library development; Process engineering and best practices development; Platform evangelism to build up support for a given technology
• Be actively involved in strategizing how to leverage automation and DevOps for Clients
• Contributing to refining and improving the company’s processes, development and deployments
