Plant Cost Analyst

We are currently looking to recruit a Plant Cost Analyst in our Newbridge Manufacturing Plant. Established over 30 years ago Newbridge is a strategic Oral Care site supplying toothbrushes to global markets. The site also prides itself on two unique and competitive P&G manufacturing processes i.e. Floss extrusion & coating and Ethanol cartridge filling for the Braun electric shaver range.
The Role:
This role provides a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate financial and cost leadership in a highly complex manufacturing site that is a strategic source for the Oral Care and Braun businesses. The Cost Analyst role is externally focused and includes benchmarking cost/processes vs. sites and Contract manufacturers to deliver long-term cost objectives and drive shareholder value. Brings the site Compelling Business Need of ‘Produce to Demand at the Lowest Cost’ to life via strong financial leadership.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

Complete month-end to a high level of accuracy ensuring all variances are fully understood and all required accruals are posted.

Complete Finance and Plant Monthly Scorecards.

Reconcile the monthly actual results to the monthly forecast.

Identify, track and understand all known variance risks and upsides that will or could impact in the fiscal year.

Lead the Monthly Cost Reviews with all Departments.

Responsible for all cost analysis including cost savings opportunities, sourcing studies, new brand initiatives and major plant projects. Work closely with Operations , Global Purchases, Engineering and Global Design teams to identify opportunities and quantify savings potential.

Provide solutions to Product Supply leadership to enable “low-cost manufacturing” strategy (Newbridge’s 3 yr journey to deliver breakthrough savings to reduce Manufacturing Expense by more than 5% year on year)

Financial estimates for Cost and Feasibility requests.

Has overall responsibility for developing annual Plant and Module budgets; tracking and understanding actuals/variances and for delivering an accurate FY Variance Forecast at intervals throughout the year.
