About the Job:
Planning and Estimating Engineer - now required to work for a precision engineering company based in Derby who supply to the aerospace industry.Duties -
- The preparation of quotations, encompassing material, manufacture, process and other cost information
- Determining material requirements and sending enquiries to suppliers
- Planning of manufacturing methods and routing
- Calculation of cost estimates
- Auditing activities to improve quotation process
- Setting up Bill of Material
- Liaison with manufacturing and QA
- Production of routings
- Customer liaison and general administration
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
What we require from you -
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with Word, Excel, Javelin and supplier portal software
- A goof standard of literacy and numeracy
- Manufacturing knowledge (precision engineering/aerospace)
