About the Job:
We're recruiting a People Specialist to join our Latimer & Corby Regional Distribution Centre in Northamptonshire. Reporting to the People Manager you will be responsible for delivering an excellent generalist HR business partner service to all colleagues on site.

You'll use your leadership skills to develop and motivate colleagues to be the best they can be, helping to ensure that managers and colleagues operate within the internal framework. Furthermore you'll use your up to date employment law knowledge to maintain an effective, positive workplace culture. With passion and drive you'll develop and implement a People plan, demonstrating and promoting positive working behaviours at all times.

You will contribute to developing a culture of performance and development by delivering the effective implementation of People projects at a site level through outstanding people management skills.

• Build capability and trust within their team through communication and engaging leadership
• Implement the People strategy defined by the People Manager
• Dedicate themselves to delivering improved performance and effective change management across the site
• Develop effective relationships both at site and across the network to promote collaborative working and sharing of best practice
• Liaise and collaborate with the wider People team to align with business needs


What skills and qualifications do I need to be a successful People Specialist?
• Ideally CIPD qualified with significant HR technical knowledge
• Experience gained within Logistics or Manufacturing industries would be desirable
• Experience managing and developing a team
• Performance management and Employee & Industrial relations experience
• Organisational development and change management exposure
• Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence and negotiate
• Pro-active and commercially focused
• Strong coaching and effective communication skills
