We’re seeking a People Development Senior Trainer to join us to design and deliver internal learning and development activities whilst supporting the development of new and innovative learning methods which provide colleagues with a more digital, on-demand learning and development experiences, broadening our reach and adding greater value to our overall performance.  You’ll also manage a range of HiPO and development programmes including the nominations of colleagues, programme content, career development planning, external trainer coordination and graduation, along with taking ownership of our Graduate Development Programme.

 

Supporting our mission to provide the development interventions which direct support our peoples performance and capability, you’ll support our internal performance review process, advising managers, advising on goal setting and performance reviews and working with our HRBP’s to ensure our high potential colleagues are identified and a plan put in place to sustain growth.  As the point of contact for the talent stream at team leader level and below – including the identification of promising talent / excellent outstanding performers – you’ll ensure individual development plans are in place and that our people development programme is well placed to provide meaningful support.

 

Job description:

To be successful in this role ideally you will have:

 

  • Broad knowledge of training design and content for high potential, management and leadership programmes

  • Extensive track record of delivering high impact and engaging learning and development events up to and including middle management level

  • Experience of developing innovative, ideally digital solutions, to increase the reach of L&D programmes and tools

  • Good consultancy skills and excellent communication skills

  • A relationship builder who is passionate about developing others

  • Knowledge and experience of on-line learning platforms

  • Ability to handle many things and able to be resilient and tenacious

  • A creative thinker who can challenge the status quo with conviction and credibility

  • Flexibility to work across all businesses and UK locations (possibly some European travel)

  • Be willing to look for and recommend external expertise to deliver “best or nothing”
