About the Job:

Based at Ricardo Rail’s Shoreham Technical Centre in the UK, you will be primarily responsible for the Ricardo Rail UK payroll, processing of expenses and HR administration with full responsibility for the accurate and timely processing of Payroll and Payroll reporting, working closely with Finance to ensure correct booking of the salary costs etc. in the finance systems.

Accountability / Key Responsibilities

Payroll

·Support the management of payroll processes for approximately 120 employees.

·Working with an outsourced payroll company to administer monthly payroll within the specified deadlines.

·Checking the accuracy of payroll output pre-commit each month, liaising with the outsourced company as needed to ensure that payroll is processed correctly.

·Liaising with the Finance department to resolve any payroll discrepancies, arranging manual payments as necessary.

·Acting as the first point of contact for all employees and answering all queries relating to tax, pay anomalies, benefits payments, adhoc payments, expenses etc.

·Play a lead role in evaluating processes and suggesting areas for improvement

·Supporting tax year end administration with support from the wider team.

·Processing and issuing of P46's (in the absence of P45's) and P60's

·Collecting bank details from new starters; ensuring they are set up correctly on the company's payroll system

·Assisting International assignment employees to set up UK bank accounts and NI numbers

·Expense processing and administration

·Pensions – sending data to administrators on a monthly basis and liaising with them on any queries HR Administration

Duties may include:

·Provide administrative support to the HR team in all day to day activities including pay and benefits, appraisal, absence management, discipline and grievance and leavers.

·Support recruitment administration e.g. preparing and sending employment contracts and associated paperwork, drafting promotion letters, leavers paperwork etc.

·Input, update and maintain the HR systems including ongoing enhancements to the system e.g. setting up workflows, electronic personnel files and other information sources to ensure accuracy of data at all times.

In order to be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:

·Experience of running a UK Payroll for 100+ employees

·Full understanding of UK tax and year-end tax administration

·Proven experience of working in a busy Payroll/HR function

·Enjoy the challenge of working in a changing and evolving department

·Ability to produce accurate and timely Payroll reports and account, management reports, employment contracts, offer letters etc.

·Proficient in the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
