About the Job:
Primary Job Responsibilities:
This is a great opportunity for an outstanding individual to join PayPal. You will secure and guide revenue-generating merchant payment processing partner deals for PayPal’s Merchant Services. Also you will be expected to identify and develop new opportunities enabled by the PayPal open platform in the UK. You will be adept in navigating all facets of effective channel sales with key partners and be able to manage the end to end process from initial lead to solution delivery. You will also manage the P&L for this area of business.

Core responsibilities:

In this position you will act as the primary point of contact for PayPal Partners across payment service providers and specialist industry partners. These industries include government, travel, education, accounting and insurance. Dealing with contacts at these partners ranging from the CFO to the partner manager. You will ensure that the appropriate PayPal products are offered to the Partner’s merchant and business customers and negotiate the commercial pricing arrangements in place with these Partners.

You will also develop new partnerships and put the appropriate tracking in place to prove the ROI on these partners. This exciting role will carry responsibility for the day-to-day management of PayPal UK’s key partner relationships and the successful candidate will be able to manage any potential channel conflicts to the benefit of all involved parties.

Experience required:

  • You will have proven past sales/business development experience gained in a position such as a Partner Manager, Shopping Cart Manager, Relationship Manager – Partners, Acquiring Services, ideally in the the payment, e-commerce or internet industry.
  • You will have prior success in partnership management with the proven ability to work with partners in complex customer environments, with multiple decision makers at many levels, internally and externally.

 

Qualifications required:

  • Educated to BA (hons) or an equivalent professional qualification is preferable but not essential.

 

Skills & Abilities required:

  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to think creatively, sell strategically both internally and externally. Interest in continually developing personal and professional skills.
  • Strongly success-oriented and highly motivated.
  • Passion for the internet and the e-commerce; internet experience desired.
  • Ability to articulate PayPal's value proposition.
  • Negotiating & modeling skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • A great sense of humor & and good team player with a collaborative approach.

 

Knowledge required:

  • Excellent understanding of the UK online commerce environment with a specific understanding of this for m-commerce.
  • Knowledge of payment processing , merchant accounts and e-commerce is preferable
  • Excellent understanding of the payments space in the UK and the actual developments trends.
  • Knowledge of online payment processing, credit-card merchant accounts and the online merchant or "e-Tail" space is preferred.
  • Knowledge of non-English European languages a plus.
