Partnership Bookkeeper

The Chestnut Centre Otter and Owl Park is currently looking to add an experience Partnership Bookkeeper to our fun and friendly team based in Chapel en le Frith, Derbyshire.

The partnership operates from 3 sites:-
The Chestnut Centre, Derbyshire
The New Forest Wildlife Park, Hampshire
Battersea Park Children’s Zoo, central London

The role

Working within our small Finance Team at The Chestnut Centre, 

The successful candidates’ key roles and responsibilities will include: -
• Recording of daily income at each centre
• Sales ledger including credit control
• Purchase ledger including payments
• Recoding purchases by card and cash
• Bank transactions including payroll
• VAT records and submissions
• Monitoring pension records
• Preparation of profit and loss and balance sheet

The position operates using Sage 50 Accounts Professional

The person we are looking for…

In order to be considered for the role, applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:-
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience in using Sage 50
• Hold a relevant Accountancy qualification (desirable but not essential)
• Be able to work efficiently on your own but, adaptable and able to work within a small team
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Advanced IT skills especial Microsoft Excel
• VAT, Pension, Profit and Loss experience
