Claremont Hospital are currently looking for a Commis Chef to join their team working in the Catering department 15 hours per week. This is a shift based role working on a shared rota across 7 days.
As a Commis Chef at Claremont Hospital you will ensure that food is received, recorded, stored, prepared, cooked and presented to a high standard in accordance with Claremont code of practice/hazard analysis and also keeping in line with Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and C.O.S.H.H.
Some of the key responsibilities of this role will be:
Help with menu planning (for staff, patient and consultants buffets/meals)
Acting as FOH staff serving customers
Checking and recording temperatures of fridge freezer and food trolley and what action to take if incorrect temperature
Recording of temperatures of all raw, high risk and cooked foods
Maintaining high standard of food, portion control and special dietary needs and action where applicable if standards are not met
Visiting wards to serve and garnish patients food prior to Food Service Assistant presenting the food to patients
The successful applicant will have to undergo a DBS check.
